Girvin Flexstem XST Titanium bar/stem combo – £65
1 & 1/8th quill stem, 135mm reach and slight rise 3 to 5 deg by my eye & with 5ish deg back sweep to 515mm wide bars. I have a selection of bushings. It has a red bushing (hard – used but only buy me) currently installed. I also have one green (soft – might have been used but looks new) & a blue one (very hard – looks NOS but dirty). All in great nick with no splits to them. You can choose which one it will come with. An extra fiver for the other two if you want them with the Flexstem. These will be sold separately if left over when the bar/stem is gone. The bar stem is in reasonable condition with no cracks or bent bits. Has some scuffs & markings but being titanium could be polished out if you really wanted. There however is some small deformations at the ends of the bars where someone has obviously put some bar ends on but no big problems. On my kitchen scales is 580g all up. With the 515mm width someone has also cut the thing down from its original 22inches/560mm. So period correct then. Very clean look when on the bike with controls. So if you would like to reduce the direct steering of your ridged steed in favour of some anti-vib bling. This is for you!
Girvin Flexstem 28.6 - £12
NO BUSHING, canti hanger. Could use new paint.
Onza bar ends £8
In sliver & quite light. They are well use with scratches on the outer edges with the logos faded. End plugs are still in reasonable nick. Have a nice little detail that no one notices - the clamp bolts are drilled through the centre to make them super light.
V-brake Adapters by world Class NOS - £18
These things allow you to use your ubër-expensive CNC’d-artwork cost-a-fortune cantilever specific levers with these fan dangled new liner pull V-brakes. They say that they are for XT or LX V-brakes but look at diagram on back of packet to be sure they will fit your Vs.
RockShox MAG 21. Usable but paint on lowers is stuffed– £40
I got these with a Parkpre Pro frame I bought. Looks to be ’96 version (as is the Parkepre) but someone can tell me otherwise. The previous owner has attempted to strip the paint off the lowers. So one leg has had paint striper on it with a section that is rubbed back to the bare MAG. On doing this they discovered what must have been a lovely Klein?? fade paint scheme. So they rubbed the second leg back just to be sure. Just taking off the black home spray job to see what the now ruined second leg original paint looked like. What a waste. Was probably a set that came on a Pulse or the like. At least they were not the ones that sprayed them black. Anyway, rant over. The good news as they appear to work pretty sweet. Some very slight wear on the sliders but only just. They feel great when you depress them, with no stiction on the rebound. Dials seam to work and are not stiff. I have not ridden them so all this is just the typical ‘put my weight on them workshop test.’ Nice working pair for a full paint job or winter hack that wants sorted suspension just as they are. Would like to keep them for rainy day but would just lead to another project. 1&1/8 steerer. Length is 127mm with 25mm threaded. No gattors.
Odyssey Straddle Rods pair - £15
Enough for one bike and one broken spirit. For the serious canti fettler.
CRUD Cog Hog in Purple NOS – £8
The original and some say the best. That does not really matter. It’s just another way to get more purple ano on your bike.
CRUD Claw 7sp & 8sp NOS - £8
A comb for your cassette. For the cassette that has everything. Spoil it.
Tioga Clipman SPD style pedals with cleats NOS - £25
In lovely Tioga blue. Some chips in the paint sorry due storage.
Suntour PowerFLO cassette NOS- £15
8sp 11-28 APII. Never seen a chain.
Suntour MD8s rear hub NOS - £35
135mm O.L.D. 36 hole, will take the cassette above. Has a few marks from storage but never been laced. Although new bearing feel a bit dry but the fee hub is smooth. Has IG stamped on the body.
Suntour XC Pro front hub NOS - £20
100mm O.L.D 36 hole. With the WTB grease guard system. Beautiful.
Red Pace stem - £35
120mm x flat as a tac. For normal bars. Red ano is generally good apart for some scratching on top the stem at the bar clamp.
Silver Pace stem - £35
100mm x 0deg. For normal bars. Not as good condition as the red above but in a very usable length.
Brass nipples 72no - £5
Came off the wheel set above. So been laced into wheels that were not used.
KoolStop Avid ceramic v-brake pads NOS - £8
No pins sorry, just a set of pads in the open packet. For Type-1 Avid cartridges only. Found on their first generation V-brakes.
