UPDATE: As a warning, don't bother buying cheap levers off ebay, even if you think you are buying from a UK supplier! The FR5's arrived today, from Hull but with a very Chinese sounding supplier, and they are truly appalling. I can't believe they are really Avid levers, they look like they are made out of cardboard, and there are stress fractures on both clamps....

So they are going back :evil:

Good news, however....saw my old Dad today and he has broken down my nephew's bike that I built him, and there in the box of bits Dad was offering me - my old polished silver Avid SD levers!!

Failed to notice the first two when I ordered, all I saw were the words, location - UK

It's annoying when you fall foul of fakes as i've got the brake levers off the old Rockrider which look like Avids but i'm betting their just cheap look a likes as theirs a fair amount of play in the levers but they seem to work okay enough to do the job but in all honesty i'd rather put a wanted add up in the classified section of the forum ..
