Whyte PRST-4 Decals. Aftermarket printers?

I've been searching for ages for a set or two of decent quality, original looking decals for my 2 Preston Fours.

Whyte don't have any in stock, and no longer have the original artwork.

None of the aftermarket vendors I've tried have any either, so sod it, I'm going to make my own. Or rather, I'm going to measure, photograph, trace and scan the ones on my frame, and have a graphic designer recreate mm perfect artwork for me, so I can have some nice new water slide decals printed. I may also take the opportunity to update to the newer "Antler" logo on the forks, to replace the original "W" logo that Whyte originally used, and that looks just the tiniest bit shit...

Question is, does anyone else want any, and does anyone have any recommendations on a decent printer?

Re: Whyte PRST-4 Decals. Anyone want some?

Photoshop is a bitch, but considering I've never used it before, I'm doing quite well.

Just got to finish recreating the rest of the artwork before the 30 day trial is finished.

hi, that looks quite impressive for your first attempt with photoshop :)

why not asking Gil_M over here about printing them for you ?

Thanks, it's a bloody steep learning curve. Photoshop is unbelievably complex.

I've now figured out which font Whyte used for all the small decals and the text lines, so that job just became a lot easier.

As for Gil_M, I had no idea he was here and printed this stuff. I'll send him a PM, thanks!

First Decal is finished. Given the shoddy design on the originals, youd struugle to tell the difference. When printed on tracing paper it overlays almost perfectly.
