why no chinese carbon chainsets?

I'm just wondering why there are no cheap but not nasty chinese carbon chainsets?

There are plenty of cheap chinese carbon frames (26, 29, fs), forks, seatposts, bars, saddles and rims but as yet not seen chainsets.

good isn't it. the less Chinese the better. Give them time and they will make some.

^^^^^^ why do you say that? Yes there is a lot if cheap chinese knock off stuff but the bars and seatposts i an using i cannot fault.

The iphone you are about to use to reply was made in china.

The thing thats sad is that gb used to be one of the leading manufacturers, by the looks of whats been in the news this week, were not going ro be making as many ford engines, probably the first step to close the plant down.

Haven't got a mobile.
i see nothing good in or coming from China. As for manufacturing here. Its a dying beast. The founder of the industrial revolution down to this.

?? Who? Pandas eat one type of food all day and mate once a life time if lucky. Red pandas are lovely but are not really pandas.

Its not really right to state everything made in China is tat, they make a mind boggling amount of 'stuff' and yes some it it is going to be poor but a lot of it is excellent. They invest heavily in the latest manufacturing and production and some of it will be world leading.

The general attitude i've found from British manufacturing :facepalm:
