WHY IS EVRYONE RIDING NEW SPECIALIZED

I thought the same thing the other day. I nipped to Leisure Lakes to pick up a part and two people who clearly didnt know each other were both picking up the exact same model new Stumpjumpers. Perhaps they are doing a good deal. Looked nice bikes.

It's quite simply because Specialized are a huge "Proficient" well run company with clout who have got their gear and attitude, dealer and customer service dialed.

Not to mention well desiged bikes at reasonable prices with one of the best after care services out there.

Everyone is riding new Specialized because they have no imagination. They don't want to stand out from the crowd. Dare to be different!

Bike mechanics moan about everything

As a bike mechanic I'll willingly second that.

Yeah lol! I was in my LBS recently and started chatting with a mechanic about my current build. When I mentioned Hope Ti BB he started winging about creaky Titanium BB's  When I said it wont creak if you put it together properly you should have seen his face!  Hi nearly fainted when I mentioned '98 SID forks!

Its funny because I know if retro gear is well looked after and put together/fitted with care it can last forever. Is there a chuck away mentality with modern bikes and component's? I gave up reading mags due to the fact that last years fork is now schite because there's already a new improved version  Why do we need to rush out every year and change the whole bike. An old Marzocchi Bomber properly serviced would beat al lot of modern forks (except fox probably but still hold ts own).

I used to like Spesh. Wouldnt buy one now though cos they're everywhere.

Sorry about the off topic rant.

I couldn't have said better myself. They have the whole package.

Spesh

They don't break much and have excellent sales and service back up and good guarantees, unlike most of the other modern trash out there, they also ride very well and never sold out to another big group, like all the other US companies did. They also happen to be the best value on the street, typically 20 to 50 percent less than the competition, but with higher spec' packages. Their fusion shocks are pants, but as the bikes are such good value, sling on an RP23 and they are the best ride out there by far.
