Re:

I put Labour as even though I don't rate Corbyn I think they are still the most aligned to my views.

I live in a Tory stomping ground where Labour are distant 3rd but did vote for the Libs in 2010 as I was swept up in the tide that suggested they might have a chance. I could see myself doing the same and voting tactically in the future but it wont be this election seeing as the Libs seem determined to shoot themselves in the foot.

I'm just anti party politics. Almost to a man or woman (but not quite, one or two genuine ones, but rare) they're whining, childish idiots, who hold and promote a view only as long as its expedient for them and their careers to do so, and who vote their own pay rises while denying most of the rest of the country the same privilege.

It doesn't matter what you think of Corbyn, because he's not running to be the MP for Skipton. Despite how most people talk about politics, we do not have a presidential system where you can vote for Corbyn or May to be President. Vote for the candidate who will best represent your interests on Parliament. If enough people did that we might actually get some useful MP's or a halfway decent Government one day.

I used to live in a safe labour seat so general elections locally were dull as hell. Then the SNP won and suddenly it was no longer safe....wow. Except it'll either stay SNP or go back to labour and thus if your potential choice in Midlothian is anything other than the two mentioned you might as well stay in bed. UK parliamentary democracy is a pointless joke but it'll never change.

Thanks for the advice. My MP is useless, Tory and will get back in. The opposition doesn't even try unless it's the local elections where independents do well, led by a proven crook who didn't serve time only because it would harm his ability to hold office.

I will vote labour as even though locally there's no point they are the closest aligned to my views.

Vote in whatever way you wish. It is democracy.

I am SNP through and through, although I campaign for and support Labour in England.

Funny old world.

Re:

Its more a case of voting for the lesser of two evils. Pure Socialism has been tried throughout history and has sadly never worked. In fact it is communist dictatorships mostly that are pumping £Ts into the West Gobally, artificially inflating property prices. Capitalistic western society is massively out of balance in favour of the few. They have way too much lobbying leverage over the EU and other Governments.

Most every day workers are not seeing decent pay increases. CEOs and senior management staff salaries are in many cases obscene. Nobody needs tens of £Bs. Rothchild Family are worth $2T. I like the Costco approach where the CEO gets $500k pa abd his staff $37ph

There needs to be a fairer distribution of resources. Hope it happens in my lifetime.
