Re:

They are figures you chose to post. They show ukip support collapsing with the tories gaining from that. Regardless of the result, that's what the figures you posted show.

The figures on this thread have surprised me, as I thought this site was fairly right leaning.

If only the liberals and the Scottish nationals would unite behind Labour to force the Tories out.

Again, we know how accurate those polls are.

Please can you stop polluting this thread with stupid fatuous pictures.

Not sure if serious. This place is like a 60s hippy commune.

They are trying that in many places. A loose cabal of ne'er do wells and wrong 'uns including the Greens, Labour and Libs standing aside and doing shady deals in a brazen attempt to prevent the country getting what it wants. A Tory government.

Democracy, eh?

Re:

To be fair Thatcher would look like a left wing hippy yogurt knitter to swivel eyed right wing nut jobs such as yourself. :xmas-wink:

Apologies if this has been linked to before. If not, it should have been. An impartial and effective tool which clarifies the whole 'left' and 'right' thing by adding another dimension:

I wonder where other contributors to this thread would place within this scheme?

Fwiw, I am a libertarian lefter- (and if you were to quarter each quadrant I'd still be in the bottom left quarter.) Not surprisingly the quadrant least served- at least until Corbyn- by electoral (or electable?) representation.. And looking at the various charts you can't help noticing the general shift of 'available alternatives' towards the 'Authoritarian right'.

And just for the record I would like to contrast the excellent analysis at the above link with the profoundly biased and misleading categorizations displayed at one like this: https://www.theobjectivestandard.com/20 ... y-defined/
which could be more accurately labelled: "The difference between 'right' and 'left' as defined by the (hard) right".

No surprises there, I'm left of Stalin and more Liberal than Ghandi; so it's yoghurt knitting with a mixed race, disabled, lesbian friend for me.

That was interesting. Left lib here but middle of top right ll quad. And I was one of Maggie's boot boys!

At last a worthwhile post!
