Fact: UK brands never had a significant standing in the historical perspective with regards to what was "hot/boutique/the right stuff" - there was never a innovation or anything close to being unique (ref. FCC). UK brands are or have never been "up there" among the US brands - just face it, sorry! What the standing is on your reef domestically is another story. I guess this question 'Who is the U.K equivilent of FAT City Cycles?' is more about a strive for / a desire to achieve protectionism and self justification.

You don't own a UK made bike, you have only owned an early Dawes mtb, you don't own or even appear to like Fat Chance bikes, and you have demonstrated no actual knowledge on either subjects, you just trot out a bunch of bigoted rubbish about perceived market positions, none of which has any bearing on the original question asked by the OP and which you immediately rubbished.
