Who else is fed up with EBay fees and them withholding payments?

I don't sell bike stuff on eBay any more. Since building up a collection of bikes and parts I now try and make the hobby self sufficient for the most part, ie sell stuff to buy stuff. I like to do this via my Paypal account, and keep it separate. Ebay now seem to just pay into the bank, so I'm out! I have the same problem as others mention with Marketplace; the search functions seem pretty crap to me and I often can't find things I again, unless I save the link.

I was talking about the traffic increases there vs. the decrease at eBay. Maybe understand text first!

Wow , you get out of bed the wrong side today or always like that?

I was commenting on relation to theirs fees / policies as that pays for the traffic that Amazon receive but isn’t always worth the hassle.

Clearly you know far more than me with your 12.000 fedback 😉

I was in exactly the same position. Using paypal to fund my hobby of buying and selling bikes and parts. As I build up the ones I want. Why Ebay took it upon themselves to bypass paypal and go straight to bank is beyond me. As it should be the choice of the user.
The FB Marketplace listings are very inconsistent to say the least. As you say you need to save them or you may not find them again, even if you search for the actual title of the post.

Never had any particular problems as a seller on eBay (but as a buyer I've had plenty). My biggest issue with eBay is that they seem to be spending no money in improving it. There are bugs/annoyances which have been there for years, if not decades eg searching for stuff which is not collection only.

There's definitely room for niche sales sites as per OPs (cf Etsy for example).

You can search collection only on my one ;)

Yep, no use to me. I want the reverse of that ie stuff that can be posted. Even if search for free postage, it will brings back results which are collection only as well as free postage. Finding a bike which is 500 miles away and collection only is no good to me.

you can search for; postage or collection or both. Three options in the postage search item.

All I'm seeing under Delivery option is:

Free postage
Collection in person

If I tick free postage only and search for bike - I get bikes some of which are collection in person only and some are free postage eg

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_...gn=-1&saslc=1&_salic=3&_sop=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=60
Do you see something/able to search for something different? I can't see any options to just return "only bikes which can be posted". To me this is behaviour which is unexpected ie a bug.
