Have just bought a pair of box pedals from Juice and I have a pair of brake levers.... Nice machine work....

Anyone know what other components they made and a little history of the firm?

They're difficult to research with a name like "Box"!!

Cheers,

Drew :)

Yep, was a company set up by Dan Sotelo, original Onza founder, made some cool brake levers, v-brakes and pedals if I remember correctly :)

Box Components still exists and is run by Toby Henderson (ex-Iron Horse racer / THE founder), it appears to be an offshoot brand of Promax...

I dont think he made V brakes .

there are some cheap looking Box v brakes and levers about but they are just a plastic copy .

A mate of mine at work has raved about their BMX stuff from back in the day, brake levers I think mostly.

I think they might have been produced by Promax just to keep the brand alive.....my cool comment only applied to the brake levers, not a fan of clipless pedals in general either ;)

Cheers folks, wasn't aware of the pedals until i saw a pair for sale....looking forward to receiving them....

The levers are nice to look at but i find them a bit bulky for use.....shame as they are very nicely made....

I'm aware of the modern "Box Components" kit that is produced for BMX....looks like nice stuff!!

They did indeed produce v-brakes, levers and pedals. Brakes and levers were produced at 2 different price points, a nice CNC version which is sexy as hell and forged versions designed to mimick the high end versions. Levers had a nice wide blade, probably the widest I have come across and a nice feel. Levers also featured 2 places to fit the cable barrel, one for cantilever and the other for vee brakes.
