Whiteways Race - 21st September 2011

Popped in to Quest to get some bits and bobs this afternoon and JP told me about this race..

The September Sundowner, Houghton Woods, West Sussex (Whiteways Lodge)

I would love to do this. Unfortunately, unless I can get a lift straight from work, it ain't gonna happen as i won't get there in time.

I did this race tonight, it was great. Starting in the light and finishing in the dark added a unique element to a 1 hour race! The course was just right for a short race and the conditions were 'slightly slippy' in places but no mud.

The organisation and attendance was very good with probably 40 - 50 riders. I hope the series goes ahead for 2012.

Cool, how did you get on Steve? I hope they do a summer series.

Hi Bryan, I did ok, not sure exactly but I think I was in or near the top 10. As long as I can make a race of it with a few other riders and keep a good pace to the end I am happy. I am planning to do the cyclocross in Stanmer on Sunday, so looking forward to that.
