Hi Chaps,
As promised, and my first foray into planning a route….
The 5 Dales White Peak Classic.
Sunday February 25th 2018. 9.30am for 10am start.
Meet at a small car park next to the Cricket pitch in “Darley Bridge”, just past the railway station, close to the “Square and compass pub”. Parking is free.
Post code is DE4 2EQ
The rolling hills of the white peak will be the perfect backdrop for those retro steeds.
The route will be a mixture of tarmac, gravel paths, and fast descents. Nothing too harsh. Perfect for retro bikes and their riders. Taking in good views of the south end of the peak district.
The route should be about 20 miles and 2000ft. With a lunch stop in Bakewell for fish and chips, or pies…
There are a few bail out options that would involve riding back on tarmac from half distance.
As always, register your interest below or make your excuses
Cheers, Rich.
See the route below with a bit chopped off: (the first 6 miles),
