Whinlatter Forest Park

Hi

I'm off with a few friends to Whinlatter in the Lakedistrict next Saturday.

Anyone know what the trails are like there? Muddy? Rocky? Plenty of Switch backs and Bomb holes.

I'm really excited, considering I only agreed to go while on a drunken night out.

they're pretty good, although the natural stuff all around them is much better IMHO

They're buiding a new trail there but I don't think its finished yet.

From experience last week, the Cafe was ace. In fact, given the horrendous weather, it was the highlight of the day!

I spent a lot of my yoof riding there. Not been there for years though.

We didn't have bomb holes in the lakes...we had mountains.

Whinlatter was pretty well drained, though the forest singletrack used to be boggy.
