Which tyres for a retro(ish) build?

I can't decide what tyres to go for on my semi-retro build, anyone have any suggestions? I have seen a pair of Onza Porcs on eBay, or Ritchey Z-Max.

Not sure really, or am I being too precious?

No porcupines if you need only the slightest of performance :roll:
Any ggod skinwaal will do, Z-max's are pretty good allround tyres IMHO

Used to race 1.75 Z Max's BITD; good all round tyres.

I have Michelin Wildgrippers on the LTS, and they are pretty good too, in 1.95 flava

Thanks all - I used to like WTB Raptors but finding new ones is not easy.

Wildgrippers look like a good bet - it's by no means a show queen and I want to get some good use out of it. Ebay my best bet?

there is stuff out there, i picked these maxxis up from a car boot sale about 6months back, they still had the knobbly bits sticking out, £1 they cost me, good tires aswell ,
