Which suspension forks circa '94

I had a 94 A2X. It came with full XTR and Manitou 3s

I had an A2X too, the M3s turned me off Manitou forks for years afterwards. Barracuda switched to Marzocchi forks about ’95 (XC 500s I think). I used to use XC 400s & 600s, there was some criticism that Marzocchi forks were a bit flexy, but I think the problem was a lot of the boutique QRs used were not up to the task. I used a Bullseye front hub (bolt on) and never had flex problems (Shimano and Suntour QRs seemed better then a lot of aftermarket QRs).

A lot of Marzocchi forks turned up on Barracudas, but in 95, they gave options to shoppers. If you wanted a Manitou, that's what you got. You had to wait a bit longer, like ordering a car from the factory, rather than just purchasing off the lot.
