Which suspension fork is in this Batavus?

As I am a numpty when it comes to early mountain bikes, my question to the collective genius of the RB crowd. I am trying to find out if this is a fork worth saving, and if it is at all possible.

There are 2 bikes here.
In the first picture is a cheap (black) fork found on £300 "mtb-style" bikes.
Probably got steel stanchions under the gaiters, possibly pressed steel legs. Avoid.

In the second picture it's a red rst- style copy. might even be a licensed rst product?
Both of them aimed at the leisure/ "cycle path with the kids" market.

The red one is better, but not worth any effort - you could probably find better at the local tip or Carboot or house clearance sale.

I have two of these Hunters. Pity the original fork isn't there anymore.
