Which size bottom bracket?? 91 Zaskar

I am replacing the cranks and drive train on my new-to-me 91 zaskar and am curious the size of BB needed. I searched and found no conclusive fact whether its 68 or 73mm.
any recommendations?

Just measure the bottom bracket shell, it will be 68 or 73, if you can't find a 68mm b/b just buy a 73mm and fit a spacer. The best thing to do is pull the b/b out, it will most likely have all the info on there including the axle length which is also important!

My '91 has a 68mm shell.

For an XT (m730) chainset you'll need a 122.5mm axle.

What cranks are you planning to run?

I actually got m730 to put on it. It has some random suntour on it now.

+1 on the above..... My '91 Zaskar is also a 68mm shell and like yourself, will be running an XT M730 c/set so have a BBUN-71 122.5mm to go on.
