Which electric cargo bike

At 62 I recently thought I may lose my driving licence, and the idea of getting a cargo bike entered my head...
I'm not going to lose my licence but the practicality of a cargo bike is still large in my mind.
However, it's a bit hilly round here ( Brighton) so I think I may need an electric. One. Lugging my tools around demands elecktrickery!
But which? I'd probably be looking second hand and have a few questions....

Are any head and shoulders above the rest?
Have there been any revolutions in battery/ motor technology recently that makes previous bikes obsolete?
Which battery and motor?
Front or back cargo load?
Range?
Upgradability?
Do they wear out quickly?

I have parking at home,I think, but is parking in the street, or on the pavement, practical?

Ta in advance

I have an Xtracycle cargo bike, it is rear loading. I have used large front loaders (bakfiets) for moving house, they can take a lot of haul, but a rear loader is a much more rideable bicycle, much more manouverable. The Surly cargo bike is based on the Xtracycle. They do an electric version, which I would have a serious look at, if I were looking for something like that. Well made and with a lot of practical accessories. I know Tern make a lot of rear loading cargo bikes with varying configurations, although they aren't cheap. That is as far as my knowledge reaches.

I like the look of Harry Vs Larry!
Had been looking at Riese and Muller bikes, but the larger front wheel of the HvL is very appealling!
We have had several Bullitts through the years, Some acoustic, a couple electric, we LOVE them, we currently have just one electric one, which gets daily use to do the school run and any other local errands. They are expensive, but they have a lot of great accessories, both official and aftermarket.

We are actually the LvsH dealers for our area, We are also Omnium dealers, but definitely prefer the Bullitt.

If you are thinking about purchasing new, give me a shout - if you were closer, we could arrange a test ride, we could potentially supply you with a build if you were interested.

Oh, if you guys are into cargobikes, you should check the Instagram account @carryshitolympics, some amazing stuff being carted around by cargo bike there!
