My parents have come to a few bob and are asking if we would like to go on a major holiday with them next year.
Basically they assumed the kids would love to go to Disneyland in the states, but my kids aren't all that keen
So has anybody been anywhere that was absolutely outstanding for kids, ie holiday of a lifetime.
Ideally in a location with some nice riding for me too ;)

How old are your kids? And what do they like?

We stayed a fantastic place near St Tropez last year and there's some good MTBing too.

Anywhere's good, Away from me!! ;)

Disneyland in French France maybe.

al, Children aye? they're just like little people, but a pain in the ass!!

If the kids are younger Legoland in either Denmark or Germany.
Great place, the accommodation at the German site is very good, the staff are friendly.
I'll be taking my son back there.

I don't think anywhere is a 'Holiday of a lifetime' for kids.
Just go somewhere that you know your kids will like and there is something they are interested in.

My little one's like nothing better than to go to the beach, a forest, climb some rocks or stay with grandma/granddad in the caravan.

though if they're in their teens and sporty then
... Take them skiing.

The Highlands of Scotland, or Ireland.

Buy them shit, be happy yourself and relax and it will all work out.

A wee cottage on the West Coast somewhere lots of family bonding and time with the grandparents, can't beat it!

Kids of all ages love riding ponies.

Kayaking, surfing.

Even mountain biking. Don't know why I thought of that! :)

Anywhere you go without having to worry about the finacial implications will be good as the good vibes will rub off on them.
What about suggesting two smaller trips? A short break to Disneyland Paris in early summer and then maybe a week in the sun in the Autumn, two totally different things to do and two thing to look forward to.

Carl.

Menorca , not far so no hastle on the plane , feels very safe and beautiful place s .
