I think the right to abstain has been removed as if one seeks their position, then one must have a view of some sort, basically do you believe or not, a simple yes or no and on the test that would equate to agree or disagree.
The trouble also with abstention is it can be used dishonestly as is demonstrated by those in political circles, it is akin to wishing to avoid a decision which might put one in a unfavourable light to those who may be future compatriots.
As to questions where one does not understand, for me what results is gut feeling as the mind may verywell be able to understand, but the brain cannot analyse the question and come up with a logical answer resulting in a brain thought of not being able to understand.
That often forgotten or even maligned gut feeling is usually right, as logic does not always preside in chaos.
As to what the results mean, one has to read further and find the graph indicating the quarters of the compass and there see who your neighbours are.
I always found it amusing that Hitler occupied the same quarter as Thatcher and of those that occupy that quarter, they are the ones that held power in this country, which might explain why people are less than happy about it in the present.
I think somewhere on that website there is a tracking of the SDP's policies, and how they moved from one quarter to the quarter occupied by hitler and thatcher, thus indicating to me they sought power before their ideals.
