Got a hens teeth 14-28 6sp uniglide cassette I'm saving for when the 11-23 I have wears out...not that I have the stones to push those kind of gears these days. All but the smallest sprocket are reversible also - which should extend life. Good thing Shimano's marketing dept realised what a critical error that was and gave us Hyperglide - horrible to think we might all get double life from a cassette.

Hyperglide is a little slicker in it's change, not a huge difference though.
Edit my Touriste and black Royal are both 6 speed ug.

Tbf to shimano, they introduced the irregular (therefore non- reversible) splines and sprockets when they introduced cut down and shaped teeth to improve chain pickup on shifting.
The sprockets need to be specifically aligned with each other so the tooth that let's the chain "go" is perfectly positioned for the chain to mesh with the tooth on the next sprocket that picks the chain up.
It's amazingly complicated, and doesn't matter if youre using thumb shifters.
