Wheel building

I'm not a big reader so just followed the Park Tools youtube video for my first wheel build last week. Granted it was a replacement like for like hub so I reused the spokes on the same side of hub & flange they came from. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Sheldon for the win but the roger musson book is also heavily referenced.

It’s a very satisfying feeling once the wheel is built and spins true.

The whole process can be very satisfying. Humans are built to fiddle, twiddle, use logic and build stuff. Combined with some favourite tunes, tea and a biscuit, or a beer, it is a very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours.
