Need to get the hang of wheelbuilding so this will probably be my option.
Just need to choose a set of rims.
If I can be careful with the spokes and nipples would they be of use to any retrobikers ?

I paid much of my way through university by building wheels, built a few thousand in my university residence room... About the only thing worse than building a wheel which required washers was a wheel somebody wanted to have rebuilt with "used" spokes. It is fully possible, just a major pain. The classic era spokes seem to stretch differently, plus they are always filthy and the threads are never perfect. I always charged extra when building wheels with used spokes. If it is my own time, it is one thing, but if you are paying somebody, I would try and avoid re-using spokes, unless of course you want a proper period-correct bike, spokes included...
