im off the bike and boards for a while and in this short space have realised how quick winter and the effects of dark days and cold bodies has.

ive realised that every winter i end up doing something project wise,be it bikes, cars etc and while im busy taking pics and planning this winters fun and games i wundered what everyone else may be up to.

so, my plans for winter are:-

rebuild my mk1 xr2 drivetrain and box
fettle the trek so the bloody gears work spot on
get the mongoose riding even better on good tyres
start my saracen build :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
finsh my saracen build
test out my 900 lumen lights while night riding, never really rode proper at night so looking forward to that
sort my neck out, surfing injury has cost me dearly, lack of saddle time and money
try and get fit, would love to ride more in winter and its flat on the roads so ive no excuse

and finally watch my wife and baby grow till its born in march :D

so c'mon, whats your plans and lets see some pics :D

Looks like you're doing it all, so no need for me to bother!!

I'm staying wrapped up warm and drinking tea.

al. :D

On 'nice' days I'm hoping to be able to drag the Wife out for a bike ride.. although, that hasn't worked more than twice in the last 6 months so I'll not hold out much hope.

And, if I can get my head together, I'll be out with the ferrets and lurchers laying waste to some wildlife..

Probably see if I can get back into making the leather collars and leads and knitting some nets (for ferreting) again too..

Pics. . . erm..

Make sure you get it all done before March. Once the babie's born you won't have the time or energy...
Include some long lie ins in your plans. they'll be the last for 18 years! :D

Ride.

When it's dark I put lights on, a selection of Hope LEDs light the way.
When it's cold I get cold and warm up when I get home.
When it rains I get wet.
When it snows and gets icy I fall off or I used to, after last years 5 sitting on the road on my bottom incidents I have learned my lesson, Schwalbe spiked ice tyres. 300 tungsten spikes of grippiness :D

I also have my 80s bike to finish.

There is always one!!!!!

I'll be looking for a job, when i've moved to my parents house end of November, and should be riding around haldon with my old mates, should be good (just hope i can get a jop asap)

Plan to get out on my bikes whatever the weather. Have built up a shonky singlespeed to see me through the winter. Have invested in even more lights so should be knocking out over 1000 lumens at our Chicksands night rides.

Since I sold all the parts on my bike, I'm probably going to slowly build another bike ready for when it gets warmer.

Maybe another M2, a Kona Kula or a Santa Cruz Chameleon.

Will hopefully be busy with music work, enough so I can relax in the summer a bit. I'm off to Brighton in a few weeks to see what the place is like in the winter etc and figure out if it's worth the move from London.
