Nearly all of my vintage bikes are built up and ride-able – and I usually take a different one every time I go out.

(Yes I know most are simply re-iterations of the same bike with variations in build)

But this and an all Ti version of the same share the “go-to” responsibilities.

Why?

Fit, function, performance.

Everything always works.

The geometry is exactly what I prefer.

I have zero concerns about damaging an irreplaceable icon (but then again, I ride those that are with similar abandon).

Plus … I can pretend I’m the guy it’s names after.

Re:

This is most ridden. Exists in two guises and grand in both. Might have to find rigid forks for guise three.

Why? Probably cos it was my return to cycling about 4 years back and also my first mountain bike. And I love the look of it. And I'm a rubbish cyclist but I still seem to be able to go everywhere on this that my equally rubbish cyclist mates go on their modern bikes. But I have the added pleasure of basking in a warm orange glow of retro cool and loveliness. In my head at least........

Re:

Have very little time to ride atm but when I do it's usually the modern Clockwork due to my full suss being rebuilt.

Retro wise it'd be the Tufftrax or Pine Mountain due to them being the only ones built up.
