What's your favourite road tyre of all time?

Contis get my vote, for high milers they're great, some of the tyres had flimsy sidewalls though which could explode with a nice but if violence!

Michelin Hi Lites were a great supple ride also, but again, sidewalls... About as close to a fast tubular as you could get.

Like nob says, there is nothing like number 3 setas. I doubt many on here will ever get the chance now sadly….

Schwalbe marathon supreme. Sadly missed! Light, fast rolling, volume for comfort...

And ive just fitted my last pair! 😱

The new "green" version is pants btw...

Vredestein Fortezza Tricomp 23mm in any of the jazzy colours they made.

Vittoria Open Pave Evo if I was trying to pass myself off as some kind of classics hardman (actually mate you've just put on a few pounds and look like a carthorse).

Just found a pair NOS I picked up for next to nowt. I’m quite tempted to put them on some light 28 spoke record wheels and give them a blast if I can find a lovely smooth road….
Excellent & great find 👍 - Usk Monmouth road still has a great surface as road mine on there in the 80’s on the R25/7 course one of my favorites as went under the hour on several occasions on there.
