wham bars

 do they actually put George michael and Andrew ridgely in the bar :?: or do they sit and make them

I heard that Andrew ridgely shaves his legs also ;)

Cheese and celery sandwiches=retro
also Gold bars (named after spandau ballet's great retro tune)

Cuppa and toast with pate pre ride, during ride its gotta be a Mars Bar and if in the Lakes a pint (or pints :D ) of Cockerhoop - yum!

Then a Kebab

I always thought the favourite Scottish pre ride feast was a 6 pack of McEwans, a battered Mars bar and some heroin
Tunnocks tea cakes are yukky as are the Wagon Wheels. I once lost a tenner wager on a Wagon wheel. I was retching after 4 bites. Horrid.

Personally I like a nice glass of Ginger beer.

Anyone remember a drink called Quattro? It was a sickly version of Lilt. Loved it bitd. Also loved those minty chews called Pacers.

I love Dandelion and Burdock and Good Ginger beer - fentiman's is great - the crabbies alcholic version is nice too.

Do you remember during the mid-nineties, Hoopers, (before they made that hideous Lemon Hooch stuff), made a very nice properly brewed alcoholic Ginger Beer?

I think it was called Hoopers Ginger Brew (or similar).

Truly nectar of the gods.

Soreen malt loaf is the stuff of champions, you can't beat that flavour and the sticky mess it leaves on your teeth

Any type of flapjack is worth a mention and bitd lilt was the favoured beverage, apart from appletiser taken from the back of the old peoples home on top of Overton Hill, back of Delamere. The bottles where delivered but the old deers couldn't drink it as it went straight through them, so there was crates of it left outside the building. Ahh I can taste it now, hot summers Sunday, top of the climb from Frodsham, couple of bottles of the sweet stuff, then down into the forest.
