Too lazy to go out into workshop to get better pics but can do if have to. On my Kona, more pics in the build thread in my signature if you need them. Black rim, says SUP on it and nothing else, so Mavic? No markings on hub. Is it an early Cross Max type of thing?

All the Mavic Crossmax, Cross Ride, and such wheels, had straight pull spokes with proprietary flanges. Those look like run of the mill hubs painted yellow (not to put them down quality wise but not a Mavic system wheel)

Re:

Not too bothered, it's a lovely wheel whatever, but just trying to work out what it is so I know what to ask for if I want to find a rear to match!!

Anyway, more pics....

Interesting lacing pattern, double cross instead of triple... The hub could be whatever... I know that DT Hugi hubs came in that color yellow but then they would have the DT Hugi stuff screen printed in red on top and yours seems to be unmarked. You could always paint your rear hub to match the color of the front.

Re:

Black Mavic on a bright yellow hub = very reminiscent of front wheels on '98'ish model year Sunn bikes

What Bob said. Seems to be a yellow Sunn Brubz 3 hub minus decal... Oddly enough they were made by DT and were very similar to a Hugi hub. Now you need a matching Sunn Brubz rear hub or a Hugi one in yellow would do the trick.

Re:

Or I could just crack out the paint tin....

That's interesting, thanks guys. Would really just like to match the black rim, not so bothered about hub, but at least I know what to look for...
