Whats the rarest mountain bike in the world?

Clearly prototypes are very rare mountain bikes but a more general rare mountain bike has to have a production run. Something that isn't a one off or even a half dozen. Soemthing sold to the general masses, something joe blogs could have bought fairly easily bitd. In my mind things like Merlin newsboys and ibis bowtie's are in that category. Based on the number of cracked Manitou FS I'd say that they are becoming rarer and getting into that territory. funk's, mountain goats and niche brands come close I guess. Does anybody have a link to production run numbers?

JJ Cobas - with headset tube suspension like the headstock that could be dial from the stem cap... but years before Cannondale.

My Vit T (not T2) is alledgedly one of 5-6 built with a 1 1/8 head tube and its uncracked.
It's even rarer in its current form where the previous owner went at it with a grinder and a welding torch

supposedly made on a wooden mould

The front aluminium triangle was very possibly formed over a wooden buck and seem welded from two halves ... says to me it was made in very small numbers, as it would have been far more cost effective to have had them pressed.

Looking at the tyre clearance they don't see much rain in that part of Australia!

Very cool looking bike and if anyone finds one please give me a shout.

A rare bike indeed, but not years before Cannondale, or Browning.
If I remember, JJ Cobas was a catalan motorcycle maker and built for competition/GP bikes :D
