Pad your arse not the saddle works better, but it depends on your riding and also a lot is down to getting the saddle and riding position right. Sitting it at a default contre centre might not be comfy. A degree tilt up down back forward can make a lot of difference.
I think you need to go on for a saddle sitting. There are devices for it now ndyou can try and be shown the difference in setups.
