what's the consenses on respraying a vintage bike frame

Paint is often not as bad as it first appears. Careful cleaning and good touch up's can save most paintwork. 'IF' it is really beyond saving it then becomes about what it is, top of the range or rare classic = top enamel respray, mid range or mass produced - powdercoat.

I've only ever had 2 bikes repainted.
