What's the best way to preserve tires?

I live at 3,438 ft and 1000 kms from the sea. I'm wondering what I should be doing to preserve my hoard of retro tires. I recently noticed that my Propulsion is starting to crack around the treads which has me very concerned.

I have a warm misting humidifier (which isn't great) and several bowls of water next to air registers that I keep topped up. Is there a product available that is recommended to apply to tires to keep this from happening? All I find on the internet is people saying not to use armorall (which is an automotive dash protectant) but not actually giving any recommendation on what to use. Thanks

I've heard of people wrapping them in plastic food wrap with lots of success. Maybe that's worth a try?

Probably best in a cool dark place, so in a room with registers would be a bad place. I've also heard to keep away from electrical motors and the like since they produce ozone.
