I'm all for the kids' charity route too - if it's sufficiently soft to have that "bean bag factor" they'll have a ball trying to jump all over the thing (I know I would've done when I was about 5 )!

Alternatively, hang on to it and wheel it out once a year on Grand National day. Get your mates round, get slightly tipsy and take it in turns pretending to be part of the race action whilst sat atop said giant bunny. Novelty may wear off after the first year of this though.
