What's in the box redux - Another blummin' bontrager

I'm down to just the one retro bike so this one is getting a lot of fiddling with.

I picked up a 1 inch threadless steerer for the Judy's a while back along with a set of rigid carbon forks. Much as I loved the switchbacks m switchblades, they weren't high enough so I couldn't really ride the bike, these are suspension corrected, and give a much better position.

Also got some stubby control tech bar ends which I'm trying inboard like the cool kids do these days.

I need to get some black 1 inch ahead spacers and ideally I'd have a1 inch stem too, but I think the control tech one blends in quite well with the crown and neither overwhelm the skinny head tube

How do you find the ride on those carbon forks? I run them on an Explosif but jury's out as to whether they are a bit stiff for my liking. Certainly feel less comfortable than the p2s on my Lava dome, but then again I do need to tweak the bar and grip combo.

Oh I don't ride it, it's just keeps me in the garage and away from the rest of the family. :)

But seriously, not tried on this bike. I had some on a m2 stumpjumper a while back and they felt fine.

Cool. The Controltech stuff doesn't get enough love. I had a seatpost with the Marin that I regret letting the new owner have =P
I'm with you, the stems always look right on with a 1" headtube. Like the stubbies too, I tried to nab a pair recently but was late.

Must have lost a good amount of weight on the fork swap, ride nice? New HS too ?

Lookin good.

Yes, got a Chris king one recently too, and some m950 cranks to finish it off should be here this week

How do you use those bar ends there? I can't imagine pumping on those up and out of the saddle...seems inherently unstable, but never tried it before!
