Rather strange I agree, but original owner said that's how it was built in 97 with the exception of the rear tyre and seat.
Rear disc is on the factory dropout/ hanger from Santa Cruz. Reasonably rare to find as most had the standard canti mounts only.
DeeMax are so incredibly straight I can't believe it really. Literally now dings, dents, true to less than a mm, bearings buttery smooth still. It's led a sheltered life for sure.
Didn't really need it, but it was only an hour away and stupid cheap so I couldn't refuse!
