what year is my kona ??

Hi guys.
Has anyone got any ideas what year my kona fire mountain is. I've been told it's a 1988. I know the forks aren't the corrct one so don't let that throw you off.

That looks like a 1988/89 firemountain,with the pink and black and a u-brake. The last Kona to have a U-brake was the 1990 firemountain and that was blue.

They are the correct forks however; some came with the curved blades.

Yep, it's a 88-89 FM all right, in fact I haven't seen one for a while thinking about it. I really like the black/pink splatter, very cool

Please don't ditch the forks!! They're definitely the originals and were only used for this model year before the straight bladed P2's appeared

Yep, 89 FM. The big K decal on the top tube = FM. Sadly it's not the epic 90 Explosif in the ever so slightly similar colour scheme. Looks like it has some later upgrades, XT rear mech, STX crank set (?). Curved P2's are a bit different and as above has added rarity (don't confuse that with value by the way!).
