What were the grips of choice in 1995...?

my onzas went black and sticky ...i hated them ...yetis left that indent on your hands itey...lovely..
 
i used to have some stupidly comfy hi density foam & neoprene ones.

cannot for the life of me remember the brand but they looked pretty good, gripped well and were comfortable enough for a rugby players frequently dislocated fingers not to feel like they were being smashed with a hammer when i went over bumps!

they did have a couple of drawbacks, they would only last 18 months or so before the neoprene wore through if the bike got a lot of use and if you went near them with oily / dirty hands they stained quite easily.

I had some yellow ones (still have 'em somewhere in the garage) that I bought and used extensively in the mid-90s!
 
Magura "Corkies" foam and cork grip - lasted for years, light and super comfy... not the prettiest though...

mine were a different shape to these. I tried, in vain, to get a new set a few years back so they are thin on the ground.
