What was your first dream mountainbike?

the first time i saw the sannie just had me hooked on getting one ...just a pity it took my next two custom built bikes to get stolen to be able to afford just the frame...i did a small 500 mile round trip in the baking heat to leamington spa to pick her up...i wasnt going to trust royal snail to deliver her.....i have another one now but i still miss my old red and silver one...inc the mavic front and rear mechs and my control tech seat post ect...
i miss the days of being un employed sometimes when i had all day to just ride around all day going nowhere in particular....i dont miss being broke tho....hang on ...im still broke.....who wants my job?i quit...

1990 Klein Attitude Dolomite (white/green/pink)

Totally re wrote the rule book when released, seeing one today i can't believe its over 20 years old, timeless............

Stumpjumper

My dream bike is a 1989 Stumpjumper. I was saving for a down payment for my first house and settled on a Rockhopper Comp. I still own the Rockhopper. But I've always wanted a Stumpjumper along with a Chicago built Schwinn Paramount. I just picked up an absolutely beautiful 1992 Stumpjumper, one of many actually. Still no 1989.

1992 was a good year, I had a Stumpy Comp from that year, wish I still had it.

It was september 1988, it was a black cannondale SM600, big tubes and 24" rear wheel. A mountain bike which seem to be a BMX !
2 years later, I was student in Paris. On the cover of a magazine, I saw the rear shock and the green swingarm of the Cannondale EST.

After, the Klein Attitude "Team America", and the Merlin titanium…
