This has bugged me for well over a year now - go to the bottom of the page, 'users on line', and it states: Most users ever online was 3301 on Mon Nov 02, 2015 1:07 pm

It was a random Monday lunchtime! Why were so many people on here then? WAAAY more than the most we'd seen before then, which I think was about 1200.

I know. I'm sad. I'm also bored. Perhaps a lot of spammers were on that day, too!

Re:

Seems a good opportunity to ask something which i've been wondering.. Is Retrobike slowly dying? There seems less activity than when i joined a few years ago.
Is this site mostly just guys in their 40s who rode 90s MTBs? Many of whom eventually move on when their mid-life crisis passes. Retrobike will need to generate more waves of interest for younger riders in order to thrive. Even the homepage is over a year old which sort of suggests getting a bit stale..

Families and children get in the way of a good hobby. I've asked for them to be banned but its never happened.

Did some blizzard (an actual snow storm, I mean..), or some other bad weather that forced all retro fans to stay home, hit the UK back then perhaps?

Re:

Well, I googled the date earlier and nothing extraordinary seems to have happened then....
It's just that it seemed a weird time to have a 'spike' in figures like that, when, from memory, previous to that the highest number on line ever was a hell of a lot lower than that figure.

Perhaps.....I just need to get out more
