Been a long time since I did a bike build.
Fettled parts here and there, then a house move and this shite weather just make it unpleasant.
..aka house move has taken the time actually doing the house and the garage is a dumping ground and cold and the kids are getting older always wanting to do stuff.
But I see some sun out there and it is almost Tropical at 9C.
So I seem to have a
1991 Rocky Mountain EDIT' Hammer' /EDIT bike I bought and left aside a few years ago, but needs a full do up,
a 91ish British Eagle Boss e-stay frame,
a 98 Marin Mt Vision frame,
a '92 Orange Alu Elite frame
and I think I still have a 93 Rocky Mountain Altitude project frame sprayed black from many years back, oh and the part refurbed 94 Pace but that's ridable. Just need a pain strip and spray.
They just seem to turn up in the post.
I was also going to do a tiny early 90s Kona for the eldest child (yes I have that frame too) but over winter he seems to have grown out of his IslaBike Beiin 24L and probably past the 14" Kona size and may be able to ride the smaller 16/17" frames.
To much choice and everything will need time (I think all the forks will need full rebuild if I use them).
Anyone else have a hard time deciding which to do.
Is it at this point you go,bugger it, extend the mortgage and buy a premade modern lump of bike bike with a little motor in it?
