In homage to Repack, I got 46mph out of the Broom on Tuesday.

What do we really have to complain about?
 A few of us BITD once got 58 down a 55 degree dale, you couldn't touch your brakes, as you went over the bars, just hit the bottom of the dale and let run up the other side and let gravity do the braking, never forget the day and would never attempt it again.

I will break 50...........before I break 50.

56 already on the cx but that doesn't count.

All I know is at the moment prices for 'vintage' road bike stuff are hitting new heights of ridiculous, BSA 42L saddles going for £222, this jersey http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-vintage- ... true&rt=nc New cycling magazines like Urban cyclist appearing ( hipster mag) and stuff that I used to find for less than a £20 being worn by fashionista bikies ( which kinda annoys me as I've been wearing old woollen cycling jackets for years because the stood up to the abuse and were cheap) Vintage/retro Road is most definitely en vogue and at some point it will turn it's gaze to retro mtb, just means the hills are ours for a while.

When you click on links to various merchants on this site and make a purchase, this can result in this site earning a commission. Affiliate programs and affiliations include, but are not limited to, the eBay Partner Network.
The other thing to note is the rise of FB groups, my good mate Greg set up a website devoted to Renault Dodge 50's way back in 2000 and for many years was the sole point of info, he now see's most traffic on his dodge50 fb group/page and then people heading to his site for detailled info. I suspect that is the case with retro/vintage mtb as well though when I pointed out this site to the guy's at MOMBAT they were gobsmacked at the volume of knowledge that resides here.
