What Seat Post Please

My 1962 Raleigh Gran Sport has a non-original seat post fitted, (its got a later cheap chrome steel part currently). Can anyone tell me what seat-post would have been fitted as original equipment? I'm thinking possibly an alloy GB part?

Thanks,

Matt

Re:

Just had a look at a catalouge that fetures this model and it does not specify what type seat post {either alloy or chrome steel.}
If you need a copy of the full spec let me know .

Campag Gran Sport as the rest of the groupset?

Or am I getting my models mixed up? I thought the Campag fitted Gran Sport was a lot later than 1962, probably 70's.

Looking at that, the seat post was probably a 'standard' Raleigh steel one. I hadn't realised that there was an earlier Gran Sport fitted with Campag GS rear and front mechs.

I always fancied a Blue Streak. Something about the Blue and Silver appealed to me.

I do. Models of the Blue Streak and the other test projects adorned the cabinets when I worked for British Aerospace in the 1980s.
The rockets were tested in northern South Australia and the project staff were based in Adelaide and then travelled up to Woomera for the tests.
