What other 'retro' stuff do you use....??

Re:

Got a 1950's wardrobe, repro 'antique' 50's coffee table...1920's animal 'home doctor' veterinary encyclopedia....

The answer to the question 'which floor?' would let you know.. I have a lawnmower sitting in the dining room as I speak. Servicing it in the warmth.

Heres my Sony CRF-220

Really nice! What's the official looking bit of paper with it? Surely wireless licences were abolished by 1974?

I used to love listening to short wave radio from round the world when I was younger (mostly when I was supposed to be asleep in bed, being when the reception was best.) A few months back I put some batteries in the old radio having found it in the wardrobe and turned it on to see if there were any stations still transmitting in the Internet age... my nearly teenage son was less than captivated by the program from somewhere in Eastern Europe devoted to praising the development of a new more fruitful strain of blackcurrant bush in true (ex?) Communist fashion!

My radio is also a Sony from the 70s but rather more portable than your example.

As to my own retro use, I like using old tools (they have a nice worn-in feel to them and often are far better made than new ones.) One or two of my moulding planes are about 150 years old and still work well...
