What makes a Girvin Crosslink fork a 'short' or 'long' headtube model?

Hi,

I have a lovely Girvin Crosslink and I think it's for the longer headtube bikes. Does anyone know what the definitive difference is between the models?

My set appears to have a longer shaft on the shock vs. another set on ebay.

Does the hive mind know if this is how they're differentiated? Is anything else different?
