what lx chainset is this?

Can any one help me out here, I'd like to know.what model of LX chainset came b on the 97 mini mula add I'm restoring mine.

Also it looks like it uses.a 4 bolt middle ring, but some writers outer ring. Anyone know if replacement rings are stillavailable?

You will find the outers crop up now and again, I still find them in bike shops

The chainset is from the 'M567' 8spd era, just before it all went grey and 9spd

found it: FC-M569

The XT of the same year was the same but without the black outer so that's another option in finding spares. I'm blagging it on an M739 built just now as funds are tight.

Cheers chaps, I've found an exploded diagram of it now and can see how it works. The big ring is essentially the spider for the middle ring.

But you can get an adapter to run 5 bolt rings, and that's the other crack in.the above picture.

Think the 5 bolt version would be the most practice, but i.prefer.the look.of the other :?

not the wanteds i know, but I have an NOS LX outer like the one in the pic if your after one

I belive you can change the spider on those lx/xt ones for a stxrc spider then you can use standard rings on it.

They have a big lock ring on the backside of them undo and replace. They aint one piece.
