Never seen one of those smart rears but for less than a fiver for a quality make, you can't really go wrong

WD :D

I've got the half watt smart light - 8quid very bright and noticeable from the side and rear and comes with 2 styles of mount ... brilliant.

I used two of those Fenix , one on the bars, one on me lid, throughout last winter, and found them fine for offroad riding.

im well impressed with it, the bar mount came today for it, though i aint tried it yet....but for £3 you cant go wrong.

really impressed with the little fenix.

Those bar mounts are ok but the torch can slip round and either end up pointing at the floor or (and this happened to a friend of mine) end up pointing back at you. They're great for mounting the torch on your helmet but if you are going to use it on the bars I recomend using two, one on the bars and one on the stem. The torch will have to go under the bars and the lock block for the stem will have to be an inline one rather than a 90 degree one as in your link.

I got fed up with myopic motorists doing their best to flatten me, so I recently replaced the rather feeble Cateye light set I had with these:

One of these on the back, it's very bright and very attention grabbing in flashing mode: http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/accessories/lights/product/mars-30-rear-light-29565

And one of these on the front: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=42466, I particularly like the handlebar mount, you can just slide the light off and leave the mount on the handlebar or quicly unclip the whole thing. It's bright enough to use on unlit roads, but not for off road riding.

I've also got some of these on my commuter bike: http://www.beseenonabike.co.uk/acatalog/info_947041.html, a bit dorky, but not as bad as those plastic things that they fit on new bikes.

Ay ups lights

myself and 2 mates each use the Ay Up stuff from Australia although pricey you get 2 sets. helmet and bars.

lighting power and battery are very impressive but i am no expert lol

:)
