what lights?

wondering what folk use for light these days........

i have never rode at night for a long time, so was thinking about adding it into my regime, anuthig that stops me using the car for small trips etc.

First thing you need to do is establish what you need the lights to do...?

Keep you seen or to see by?

If it is to see by then ideally you want to spend some good money on a bright 'off road' set but even some cheepish lights will get you by on unlit roads.

Personally I am a huge fan of Light & Motion for proper off road lights. Especially the SECA

something basic for the rear, a multi LED will do.

are those knog lights ok?

front end id like something with variable power, a normal setting for the road/streets, then a night to day....give rabbits a suntan type beam for off road!

i like the look of those 2000 lumen troutie lights from yorkshire.

I will have a Nightrider Minewt Duo for sale in the next few weeks as I've ordered a Trout Liberator. You can try before you buy if you like Richie. They are great for general on and off road riding especially when backed up with a headtorch off road.
You will be able to get up to Thrunton on Thursday nights once you get some decent lighting. It's great fun up there but make sure your life insurance is up to scratch :twisted:

For a 'be seen' rear I think the three led smart would take some beating for the price

Agreed. The Smart rear lights are bright and cheap. Especially the 1/2 watt ones.

troutie or a dstar if you have the pennies or if youve got some thing in mind i think troutie would make you a one off if not the new magic shine is a good light for the money ssc p7 900 lumens max.
