What is this front mech?

baltipine

Dirt Disciple
Sorry if it's really obvious, but I've got a "shed find" and I don't recognise this front mech? Looks almost home made by somebody with access to cnc lathe and time on their hands. Works nicely though!

The frame and forks seem to be 1994 Marin Indian Fire Trail but no other parts are original.

Thanks.....

Re:

Precision Billet

Very yummy ... hmmm munch munch munch

Well worth caring for and getting into a better state.
Probably worth more than the bike. Unless it's got some other exotica on it.

Thanks for that! I will Google it to find out a bit more about it.
I thought it looked like a very nicely crafted piece!

No other exotica I'm afraid, Ritchey wheels and headset, Shimano rear mech and avid brakes.

So any suggestions how much it's worth?

So I've taken it off the bike and cleaned it up. The steel parts are corroded but the alloy parts are very good. It fits a 35mm frame diameter as it stands.

I have no experience of such exotic parts so really don't know what it's worth. None showing up on ebay so not much of a guide there.

A few photos below.....
