and please, nobody say 'it's a bicycle' :D

this bike found me a few days ago, and at first i thought it was a rare & exotic GT, but it isn't. but what the heck is it? it is branded as 'Activair', but googling this only brings up air compressors or air freight. it could be a random Taiwanese aluminium frame with parts added & decals added as a promotional item maybe? but the logo doesn't match anything now, of course, companies do change logo designs.
it has an ally frame - ropey welding in places and very crude looking cable guides, chromed steel forks, but interestingly and Altus groupset, which i am surprised about. but then, as it has canti brakes, it's probably pre 95, so who knows. it has a 6 figure serial number, which to me means nothing.

over to you people, any ideas what it is? :?

My Daewoo Genius after being frankenbiked and single speeded by my son for a bit of fun.

Same shape and also came with chromed forks, but the welding is neat and the cable guides different.
Quite light and stiff and actually rides really well. The bike that got me into mountain biking so the frame is still stashed in the shed.

interesting, yes. it is the same shape as that, and it is very light & rides well, polished it up today & it looks much better. maybe it's an early or prototype example?

Or one welded by stevie wonder.

Ps as long as it stays together, dont worry about appearance of the welds. Compare to some high end Ti frames or Al and yoy see wby i made that comment.
