What is the worst product ever produced for MTB/ATB'S

Flexstem.

Idealy a flexstem with long bar ends so when your using the ends of the bar ends your getting about an inch of rubbery wobblyness. Most of it side to side but some up and down going on... pure pap.

I had my SS out yesterday... it was a bike and it was fun  , no other reason required

You would need a cadence of about 275 to pull over 46mph on most MTB's with a 36:16 ratio, doesn’t sound ideal! Can you keep this up on a long descent?

Of course not, I'm just stating the facts of my top speed down one particular hill as I think someone said that a ss would be much slower. I just sprint at the top and let gravity do the rest.

Coat Hanger

Had to check this wasn't from an April issue...

no you dont have to be fit. single speed makes sense for a commuter, especially when its your only form of transport.

I'd agree, wasn't thinking about commuting though, was thinking about general offroad stuff.

true, but also only if you care who's fastest. i always think its the one with the biggest smile that wins. but i would say that as i'm always last

Mr K

That should be the beginning and end of this thread...comical and shocking

What about those 'benefit scroungers' that you see atop a really nice bike, usually before noon with a bottle of white cider under one arm. Always makes you think, nice (stolen) bike.

Can I claim 'benefit scroungers' as a 'worst component', they are after all, the worst part of the bike.

TSC.

Disclaimer: Not having a pop at anybody that has hit hard times, I'm having a pop at the underclass that perceive claiming benefits as a career decision.

 not sure you could claim that one as a single product , there seems to be too many model options and they arnt restricted to the pastime of cycling

ive seen the underage girl variety given away free with the purchase of large wheels and hatchback car deals for example

then theres the early 20s ones assigned in groups to keep town centre benchs warm and protect them from passers by with bad language and stares

the entire sport of cycling couldnt fund the marketing campaign for them and would risk going under . let alone the upgrades from argo they need on a weekly basis
